Valentines celebrated by people from different places in different style and ways. I wanna share with you how Philippines celebrates Valentines. When it says Valentines? it always comes in our mind that this is the day of heart. Many people Believe that St. Valentine blessed people who do in love during valentines day,In Philippines people are more excited when February comes near, because for them there's something good during this month. All chocolates, flower, cards, stuff toys and other things that symbolizes of love are displayed in different place like, mall, market, mart, and even besides roads. Not only for the purpose that the vendor can earn money but it is part of the traditions that Valentines day is something that treasurable moments of the year.
In Philippines, from teenagers to adult they were preparing their best present for their love ones, they have dating and making their best way of love celebration. it is said that cupid has the big part of it, that why the little boy with wings and bow and arrow at his back always their as a symbol of love. 4 days before Valentines day, Filipino people are ready for the celebration, all Special places like restaurant, motels, hotels, plaza's and theater are fully accommodated by reservation. Filipino people love surprises, specially the men, they spent lot of money to surprise their love ones. They give their best gift just to fulfill the happiness of one person.Anyways, Valentines is not only for lovers but also for the friendship. During this days, not only those lovers prepare their celebration just for their love ones but also for the friends who became part of their life. Romantic places is always a place for lovers who wants show their love for their partner, and also for those who are just planning to says and show their love for their crush, this is the place for them to say what they feel for toward person.
The common gift that the people prepared for their friends is flowers and chocolates and cards, and also for their love ones or love of their life,During valentines day, there are also activities that the Filipino people love to share with others, like blind dating, blind dating is very common for the Filipino people, it is choosing date partner without knowing their faces, because every participants are blind folded and choose their date. Another activities that is held just this year, i think it was adapt from another country, it is called On the spot date, i think it is, they need to know each other with in 3 minutes, getting their names, address with in 3 minutes, another activities is Lovapalooza, i was held during Valentines day, where the participants are all couples, the will kissed their partner after countdown. all participants must kissed their partner with in 3 minutes or more.
